For the first time, Das Keyboard also is offering a silent version (“quieter version”). The Das Keyboard Model S Silent (Professional only) is a keyboard featuring similar German-engineered, mechanical, gold-plated key switches as those on the original Professional keyboard, but produce a much softer “click.”
Besides the quieter key-switch, it is identical to the Das Keyboard Professional Model S, and includes:
* Gold-plated mechanical key switches designed to withstand 50 million strokes * 2-meter (6.6 ft.) USB cable with two USB connectors: one for the keyboard and one for the USB hub * External PS/2 adapter * Full n-key rollover with PS/2 connection and 6-keys with USB connection * High-speed USB 2.0 hub * Media functions such as: mute, volume down, volume up, play/pause, stop, previous track, next track, sleep * KVM switch compatible * Lasered inscriptions on the keys
